Choose your discipline

Four ways to test your CW.

Each competition measures a different operating skill. Comparable settings form their own classes, while choices that do not define the class remain yours to tune.

CW Summit online speed competition
01 / SPEED CLIMBING

CW Summit

Copy callsigns or short character groups while the speed rises after successful answers and falls after mistakes. Your score and highest reached speed show how long you can keep accuracy under pressure.

Full-set runs are compared by input path, target class and duration. Recognised starting speeds keep runs eligible without creating dozens of nearly empty tables.

02 / CALLSIGN COPYING

RufzXP TX

Hear real amateur-radio callsigns at adaptive speed. Enter them by keyboard, or switch to paddle input and key each callsign back. Correct answers push the pace; errors bring it down.

Competition classes keep duration and input path comparable while your chosen starting speed remains part of the challenge.

03 / SIGNAL SEPARATION

Pileup Trainer

Pull callsigns from overlapping stations with different frequencies, signal strengths and realistic fists. Copied calls count, while difficulty points reward calls that were genuinely harder to separate.

Leaderboard classes compare duration, simultaneous callers and base speed, so a dense high-speed pileup is never confused with an easier run.

Balloon Burst online Morse recognition competition
04 / RECOGNITION SPRINT

Balloon Burst

Recognise Morse characters, groups and callsigns before the balloons stack up. The game turns instant sound recognition into a fast visual challenge without requiring an installation.

Full-set runs are compared by keyboard or paddle input and target class. Listen runs use a fixed starting speed and ramp; limited practice sets stay local.

Practice first · publish by choice

One run. Your decision.

01

Choose valid settings

Every game shows whether the current setup is leaderboard eligible. The initial settings are ready for a comparable run, and practice settings remain available whenever you simply want to train.

02

Complete the challenge

There is no separate competition mode. Start normally, tune the permitted controls to your preference and finish the run. Your personal result remains available locally.

03

Publish only if you want

After an eligible run, choose whether to post it. Your callsign is shared across OpenShack competitions, and the ownership key stored in your browser lets you remove individual scores later.

Fair without empty tables

Global leaders and focused classes.

The leaderboard opens with the overall leaders and the leading operator in every discipline, so there is always something interesting to chase. Inside each game you can narrow the table to its defined classes and compare runs that used the same important settings.

Scores from unlike challenges are never treated as the same result. The overview celebrates leaders; the detailed table preserves the context that makes a CW competition meaningful.
